Fast Forward
So time goes on and I take a trip to the Dominican Republic with my daughters. The resort was beautiful, but we had to walk miles in sandals. My good foot started hurting. When I got back, I went to the doctor at Duke and got an MRI. Apparently I have a ganglion cyst inside…

Not just the lower part
Arthritis hits you all over and I’ve got it in my fingers, too. I had one man ask me out on a date. He stood beside me and talked about how my hair was always perfect and he would like to take me to lunch. As we parted, I threw up my hand to wave…

He scheduled me for a hip aspiration, which is drawing fluid from the hip and analyzing it. Believe it or not, it did not…

What the doctor said
So the doctor called me with my MRI results. He said that there was a lot of fluid around the artificial hip and this could indicate infection or metallosis. He wants to aspirate some fluid from the hip.

Finally, a soft tissue look
Today I finally go for the MRI. This hip doctor has arranged for me to have a low-contrast MRI to see the soft tissue around my replaced hip which has bothered me for three and a half years. I feel like someone has finally listened and am eager to know what the results will show.
