So time goes on and I take a trip to the Dominican Republic with my daughters. The resort was beautiful, but we had to walk miles in sandals. My good foot started hurting. When I got back, I went to the doctor at Duke and got an MRI. Apparently I have a ganglion cyst inside…
Arthritis hits you all over and I’ve got it in my fingers, too. I had one man ask me out on a date. He stood beside me and talked about how my hair was always perfect and he would like to take me to lunch. As we parted, I threw up my hand to wave…
So I got the Platelet Rich Plasma shot in my foot on June 6th. They told me to drink lots of water and they drew blood from my arm. Then they spun it down to plasma and the doctor injected the plasma into my foot in two places. He said no anti-inflammatory meds for six…
So five days later the Sports Medicine nurse at Duke called me back and I got an appointment. I took him MRIs that I had and he did x-rays and said he thought I should see the hip doctor and get something done there and then he referred me to a foot doctor. Could not…

I talked to the doctor yesterday. There was no infection or metal in my synovial fluid but there is blood. He wants to do a bone scan now to see if the implant is still seated well. The problem is that every time I take a step with my right foot, my left hip is…

He scheduled me for a hip aspiration, which is drawing fluid from the hip and analyzing it. Believe it or not, it did not…
So the doctor called me with my MRI results. He said that there was a lot of fluid around the artificial hip and this could indicate infection or metallosis. He wants to aspirate some fluid from the hip.
Today I finally go for the MRI. This hip doctor has arranged for me to have a low-contrast MRI to see the soft tissue around my replaced hip which has bothered me for three and a half years. I feel like someone has finally listened and am eager to know what the results will show.
